As populism continues to be on the rise and people seem to lose faith in politicians and institutions, democracy is more important than ever. From data privacy, to common defense and the economy; there is a lot at stake in the European Parliamentary Elections of 23 May. That’s why, instead of focusing on institutional politics, the 4th issue of Are We Europe magazine shines a light on young democracy-makers; those people who work, lobby and campaign behind the facades of the European political system. Join us for this Are We Europe meet-up #2 and the launch of magazine #4 ‘The Fabric of Democracy’, which explores Civil Democracy in all its variety.
The c/o pop Convention will once again take place alongside to the c/o pop Festival on May 2 and 3, 2019 at the IHK Cologne - in other words, in the spring! This makes the c/o pop Convention 2019 the first industry meeting of the year for the music industry and cooperating sectors such as the advertising industry and the digital economy. For two whole days, keynotes, panel discussions, presentations, workshops and training sessions will provide a practical look into the future. Current cases and trends will be presented and analyzed. And there will be plenty of opportunities to network. This is the conference for everyone who wants to start the season with new contacts and ideas!
Everything new, everything different: in 2019, the c/o pop Festival will move - not only from August to the most beautiful month of the year (May of course!), but also from the Belgian Quarter to Ehrenfeld. After 15 years, the area around Brüsseler Platz has simply become too small. Time to mix up the district around Venloer Straße! For example, many people don't even know the 70s charm of the Bügerzentrum Ehrenfeld. On 03.05., our favourite Swiss Dagobert will be on stage here. The showcase programme c/o Ehrenfeld on Saturday and Sunday will also take place here, inside and outside, with numerous workshops and readings and of course, as always, free admission. As usual, the musical focus will be on German acts and artists.
